Building Signs
Building signs primarily serve the following purposes for displaying the Kyocera brand symbol:
- To declare who the site operator is and foster understanding of corporate activities within the local community.
- To serve as a landmark for visitors.
- To enhance Kyocera’s recognition in the local area ( advertising and publicity ).
Use the Brand Symbol specifically designed for signage.

Wall-Mounted Building Signs
【 Basic Rules 】
- Building signs must display only the brand symbol, and in principle three-dimensional signs should be installed. Product brand names may not be displayed together.
- Group companies must also display only the brand symbol. As a rule, the company name should not be shown.
- If another company’s site is integrated through M&A, please consult the Brand Promotion Section of the Kyocera Corporate Communications Division.
* Designs must ensure that the brand symbol is clearly recognizable.
Left-Aligned Sign ( Standard Pattern )
* Adjust the size according to the available space, in compliance with the clear space regulations for standalone sign-specific brand symbols.
Right-Aligned Sign
* Use only when the right side of the building faces a main road, or when the left side is obscured by adjacent buildings and not visible from the main road.
If conditions such as a dark wall color reduce visibility under the above rules, please consult via the inquiry form for review of the brand symbol or company name logo colors.

Using red or black for the brand symbol side color causes the brand symbol to appear thicker when viewed from below or from the side.
Production of Three-Dimensional Signs
【 Main Regulations 】
1. Signs must be comprised of stainless steel ( SUS ) box letters.
2. The inside of the corporate mark and corporate logotype must be hollowed out.
3. Coloring must use the designated product numbers of 3M Scotchcal Film (Japan-made).
For durability and weather resistance, these Japan-made films should, in principle, also be imported and used overseas.
4. Sign side surfaces must be white or similar to the wall color.
If the surface and side are the same color, the correct shape will not be visible when viewed from an angle.
5. Use the following 3M Scotchcal Films ( Japan-made ) :
‧ Kyocera Red
Opaque : JS-6217XL
Translucent: TP-3214XL
‧ Kyocera Black
JS-1500XL
‧ Side ( White or wall-similar color )
JS-1028SXL or wall-similar color
Installation of Three-Dimensional Signs
When installing wall-mounted signs, adopt the best method. Specifically, do not attach the sign directly to the wall. Use mounting brackets to float the sign from the wall. Direct mounting causes dust to accumulate on top of the sign which is then washed down by rain, leaving visible stains on the wall and impairing the appearance.

Sign attached directly to the wall, causing visible staining from rainwater over time.
Rooftop Signs
Display the sign-specific brand symbol according to the following specifications.
